Are We There Yet?

“So where does the power come from to see the race to its end: From within.” Eric Liddel – Chariots of Fire

As we near 1k followers on Facebook and 4k on Twitter, I believe it is more than necessary to thank everyone for their support. I also want to provide a status update on where we are with our project to build a new social platform. Hard lessons have been learned very quickly. We have had to adjust our plans more than once, only to come full circle and realize we were already one step ahead.

I am pleasantly surprised that many have assumed that the blog itself is our beta. To clear up any confusion, the FrontBurnr gaming blog is not our social network. You will see our blog continue to iterate over time as we begin to support our launch partners and offer more robust forms of content and aggregation. The aim of the blog is to share our varied points of view surrounding gaming culture and provide a conduit for our community to showcase their own talents. The related target of our gamer blog is to build our initial community base that will translate into our future closed beta.

So how are we doing with our planned network?

Within ninety days of our young start-up’s genesis, I am extremely pleased with our progress. We have brought in several key members to the team who have all truly sacrificed and provided superb council. I am also acutely aware that we have been given numerous opportunities that many nascent groups only dream to have due to our professional relationships built over a long history of mutual success. To meet with some of the top social technology consultants and community organizations while also securing some excellent unannounced partnerships, we are well on our way to reach our strategic vision.

What are our remaining goals?

Resources. Both human and capital. We currently have a wonderful team that is giving up their valuable time for writing and design. In particular, we are looking for some additional gifted programmers that will play a key role in our current build strategy and leadership for the future. Zuckerberg and Gates could not be more correct, kids: Learn how to code. You will be invaluable.

Similar to most first-time entrepreneurs, we are also in the midst of our investment search. Once we decide on and secure the right partnerships, we will be able to fully realize our vision for solving the need of true brand engagement.

What can you expect?

We will continue to refine the gaming blog for the next couple of months and begin to use it as a promotional tool for our launch partners. The team is working diligently to provide compelling editorial and more importantly, provide a platform for you to share your own. When we reach our funding goals and round out our development team, we will then begin to unveil our intended user experience.

Thank you again for your continued support. If you have any questions or if you would like to learn more about our network, please feel free to email me directly at
